HISTORY and DISCUSSION

We have continued to follow the theme of Empires and enjoyed three excellent Wpresentations from Tom Garside on The Hapsburg Empire, Jan Whittington on Alexander the Great and John Fitch on the Belgian Congo.

We will continue this theme in the New Year when I have borrowed  two DVDs form the U3A Resource Centre. We will show those and then follow with a discussion.

Finally in March we will conclude with a short presentation on the concept of Empire, different types of and whether empires still exist in the 21^st Century -? The American Empire. This will be followed by a discussion
