Thanks to everyone who made the Strawberry Tea Party on July 1^st 2008 a memorable one.

Penny and Graham Martin for letting us use their beautiful garden .

Margaret Palmer for devising the Fifty bird quiz!! which Graham very artistically displayed around his garden .So that members and guests could walk around in comfort to write their answers.Carol Holt won that well done Carol.

Tim Goward, David Labdon John Fitch who donning light reflecting waistcoats saw members safely parked and across the very busy road to, The Willows.

John Fitch who at an unearthly hour collected the Strawberries - which were delicious and not a bad one amongst them.

Jo Fitch, Vera Goward,Jenny Waterhouse and myself - de-hulling, slicing and distributing even amounts in bowls - making cups of tea and coffee.

 Because of my habit of waving my arms about .I did not conquer the P.A.system.I kept seeing puzzled faces, hand to ears mouthing ,"What did she say".  "Can't hear ".

So I left the important calling of Quiz answers and Raffle ticket winners to Graham.

Only one blot. Patti ,our Chairman was not present. She was recovering from her operation. We all wished her well.

Lastly the sun shone. What a contrast to last years downpour.

Lets hope next year is just as sunny, in the garden of Jo and John Fitch.

They voluntarily volunteered.
