The Personal Computer Group

The PC Group meets on the 3^rd Tuesday of the month at 2pm and so far has 13 members. There is a wide range of experience and lively discussion of topics of interest to which all contribute. The “old” U3A Laptop has been updated with Windows Millennium Edition operating system and is available for loan to members. New members are welcome, although space is limited.

For those who have delved into the national U3A website you may have found a heading entitled ‘Offers For Members’. Here you will find contacts for Computer Hardware and Software. For those thinking up upgrading their software to Windows 7, there are massive savings to be made. Windows 7 Ultimate is available at £57.99 instead of the list price of £249.95 with similar savings on other Microsoft products. Windows 7 Professional will cost you £39.95 and the 10 programmes of Microsoft Office Enterprise will cost you £52.50 instead of £482.97. The company named is www.Software4students.
