Midway between Wisborough Green and Petworth. 3 miles beyond
Wisborough Green on A272 turn left, signed Hawkhurst Court. Car

Plants, birds, insects etc. in Ancient Woodland – a
meander. Three species of woodpecker – (bring binoculars)
Tuesday 14th June – Washington Downs and
Village.
Discovering tiny chalk loving plants along the
Downs. From Washington Roundabout take A24
towards Worthing. 1 mile up the hill, turn left at car park

Tuesday 12 July – Cisbury Ring
Downland walk looking for Orchids and plants of the chalk. Ancient
hill-fort site (any historians out there would be most welcome. Travel
south on A24 towards Findon, left in Findon at roundabout signed C
Ring, continue on B road ~ 3 miles to car park. Map ref TQ 139 085

Wednesday 17th August – Moor Farm
Farmer Richard Chandler will take us on a tour of his
farm (by tractor). U3A had a tour of Moor Farm in 2004 and found it
very enjoyable and instructive.
A272 West from Wisborough Green, 1 mile short of
Petworth. Watch for Moor Farm sign and turn right down
