Thursday 12^th May - The Mens and Cut Midway between Wisborough Green and Petworth. 3 miles beyond Wisborough Green on A272 turn left, signed Hawkhurst Court. Car parking 100 yds on right.                     Map ref TQ 024 238 Explorer map 124   

Plants, birds, insects etc. in Ancient Woodland – a meander. Three species of woodpecker – (bring binoculars)

Tuesday 14^th June – Washington Downs and Village.  Discovering tiny chalk loving plants along the Downs.                            From Washington Roundabout take A24 towards Worthing. 1 mile up the hill, turn left at car park sign.                                               Map ref TQ 121 120 Explorer 121

Tuesday 12 July – Cisbury Ring    Downland walk looking for Orchids and plants of the chalk. Ancient hill-fort site (any historians out there would be most welcome. Travel south on A24 towards Findon, left in Findon at roundabout signed C Ring, continue on B road ~ 3 miles to car park.  Map ref TQ 139 085 Explorer 121

Wednesday 17^th August – Moor Farm

Farmer Richard Chandler will take us on a tour of his farm (by tractor). U3A had a tour of Moor Farm in 2004 and found it very enjoyable and instructive.

A272 West from Wisborough Green, 1 mile short of Petworth. Watch for Moor Farm sign and turn right down track.                           Map ref TM 986 236 Explorer 133
